The second instalment of the newly incepted LTD series from Infernal Sounds features the robust & bone-shaking sounds of Dusty. After featuring as part of the 'Future Forms' LP with 'Jinx', it feels just to represent the producers dynamic productions in all their glory on the 'Hydro' EP. As previously, the title track features on the 10' release as a vinyl exclusive. 'Desolate' sets the tone, providing eerie, daunting atmospherics, before 'Grutbucker' tears through the grain with a gritty, ten-ton weight drop. Collaborative work between Dusty & Sano on 'Compakta' produces a more stripped back lo-fi beat, trademark of the NZ sound. 'Raveyard' sees Dusty & Ma Barka combine, taking things a little more techy, slapping you straight in the gullet with relenting waves of weight. It's a perfect example of some of the freshest vibrations coming out of the underground scene in New Zealand and highlights a few artists who really need to be watched moving forward. Soundsystem built brilliance. This EP is dedicated to Max Aitken.
