At the tail end of 2021 DJ Godfather released 'This Detroit Thing Of Ours'. Like his 'Electro Beats For Freaks' album the previous year, it featured an abundance of tracks which segued into one another 46 tracks in total with a running time of nearly 2 hours. This is a man who likes to break all the album rules! Full of variety, the album covered genres like Electro, Techno, House and Ghetto Tech alongside collaborations with DJ Deeon, Goodmoney G100, King Saaidi, Gettoblaster & Missy, Lil Mz 313, Ricky Burns, JPE, Parkhouse and Dan Diamond. Revisiting that epic album, DJ Godfather is releasing a series of EPs which feature full length versions, alternative mixes, acapellas and instrumentals of some of those tracks.

Love, Detroit
A man noted for incorporating battle style turntablism into his sets, Detroits DJ Godfather has been at the forefront of the ghetto tech movement for well over two decades. After dropping the electro-fied Killshot EP last December, this time on Love, Detroit we see him take it back to the source of techno. DJ Godfather then brings an array of Detroit friends to give their interpretations with Rolando, DJ 3000, Gettoblaster, Invite Only and TekNoNo providing their own remixes across the techno-house divide. The EP is wrapped up by a techno remix from Londons Oliver Way and a Jit mix from Godfather himself.

The Killshot EP
DJ Godfather returns with some brand new music for his next EP "The Killshot", which closes out 2023 with a bang. Renowned for his versatility when it comes to making music or DJing (he recently won DJ of The Year for the 11th time as voted by readers of Detroit's Metro Times), it's certainly on full display here. Delivering different Detroit flavours on "The Killshot EP" we have the Detroit Techno of the title track, followed by some Electro Funk on "Funk For The Trunk", before closing on "Subterranean Tech Beat" which brings a touch of Ghettotech ammo.
