Brand new Artist Album by Alexander Popov 'Reflected', the third studio longplay, is a new milestone in his career, a look upon himself from the outside, insight into his creative development as a musician, and, sort of a reporting work over the past 5 years since the date of release of his previous album 'Intention'. This album is truly special. It comes out at times of global changes, transformations, both in the world and in the life and career of the artist. Something shifts, something is reinvented, and something is turned upside down and all the emotions, feelings, thoughts, rises and falls that go with it find their reflection in the music. Stylistics of the album, at large, is sustained in the genre that the artist keeps to his whole life - melodic, electronic, dance music, but in a wide variety of shades: from light progressive, at the interface of organic house, to classic uplifting trance with a touch of techno and future rave. It was not without experiments. The final track, 'The One', is a collaborative song with his wife, where the vocals were created and performed by her, and Alexander wrote the text for himself. The album is filled with multiple moods and sentiments, from the cheerful 'Brighter' to melancholic 'In The Rain'. But overall, it is steeped in certain tension, mirroring the world events of recent years. Yet, at the same time, it awakens sincere hope for a better future. This is what Alexander always tries to bring into the world through his music.
